6-7-10 / Jenny, Quinten and Capt. Chad managed to catch a 2-person limit on a three hour fun run Monday evening. 7 chinooks, 2 rainbows, & 1 lake trout. Good job Crew!!!
FISHING REPORT
5-2-2010 / Well we've made it to another fishing season on Lake Michigan. This is the first report for the year. There haven't been too many boats out fishing yet, but the ones that are out there are catching some fish. Brown Trout action has been pretty consistent over the past few weeks when you can find a calm day. Most of the fish are coming on surface lines and stick baits. I have heard reports of fish being caught from Two Rivers, Manitowoc, and Cleveland area.
Today The CHINOOK EXPRESS was out and trolled the breakwaters around Manitowoc for some good action. We had 6 fish on and boated three. All but one were over 8lbs with the biggest being 11lbs, so there are some big ones around. This should continue for another week or two and hopefully by the first of June we will start seeing some Rainbows and salmon.

6-3-10 / June has started with a bang. With water temperatures in the mid to upper 50's the salmon fishing has been very good over the past week. Normally we don't see this until mid or end of June. This was the first week that we made a trip out for salmon and we found fish after about one hour of fishing. Last week they were out around 200' of water, but with the warm weather the fish have started to move in closer allready. By 6-5-10 the fish had moved up to around the 100' mark.
The larger salmon have been coming from near the bottom on down riggers and flasher-fly combos, from mid water column to the surface there have been some smaller salmon and some rainbows being caught. We had luck on orange and blu-silver spoons near the surface.
As long as the weather stays nice and we don't get any big winds the fishing should continue to improve over the next month or so. We should be out a few more times this week and with any luck we will start to see some limit catches coming in. Give us a call for charter info or up to date fishing reports. Good Luck fishing!!!
